Glasses Make an Artful Comeback!

At nJoy Vision, we are proud of the fact that we are able to help countless numbers of people get rid of their pesky glasses. We celebrate the fact that for years now, we have helped so many patients enjoy a better quality of life. But there has always been a lingering question looming in the back of our minds.

What do we do with all of these unneeded pairs of glasses!?!?

Have we got an answer for you! Last week Marchon Eyewear hosted an art exhibit called Re-Visions of Art. The exhibit featured artists from around the country who specialize in working with unique materials or recycled materials. Innereactive Media and Marchon then commissioned seven selected artists, six domestic and one international, to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art utilizing eyewear, lenses,  frame parts, cases and printed materials produced by Marchon. Each of the artists presented their piece of work during the Wednesday night cocktail party in the company’s NYC showroom and discussed their inspiration with guests.

The plan, according to Marchon, is to take this idea worldwide. The hope is to have artists all over the world team up with charities, non-profits, and schools to feature work created by recycled eyewear.

Now this is a glasses initiative that even WE can get on board with!
