Previously Blind Transplant Recipients Use Photography to Show Their Vision

Over the lat 30 years, the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank has helped facilitate more than 40,000 sight-restoring transplants using eye tissues from over 41,000 donors in Colorado and Wyoming.

To help build public awareness about the importance of tissue, organ, and eye donation, RMLEB created the Circle of Light Photo Project in 2010. Comprised solely of photos taken by once-blind corneal transplant recipients, the project is a testament to the impact that organ donation can have on a person’s life.

The stunning photos serve equally as a poignant “Thank You” to the donor families and motivation for others to become organ donors.
